The January
LIGHT program looked at TV, consumerism and music of
today. The presenters were Bill Miller, Jeff Stutzman,
David Droes, emcees Chuck O'Brien and Colene Conley, and
Father Tom Dunphy. The importance of including our
Catholic Christian traditions into our daily life was
stressed. All were encouraged to include prayer into
their daily life, monitor the TV, movies, and music that
we watch and listen to, share (communicate) as family,
and make our homes reflect the fact that Jesus is
present in our families. The second graders and younger
had a session on song and dance. Zoli Takacs and Linda
Kazar led the assembly in singing "Holy Ground." The
meal was pasta and salad. The take home bags included a
photo of Jesus, a vial of blessed holy water, and an
assortment of do-at-home activities for the whole
family. |
