September's All Generation Faith Formation was entitled "SOCIAL JUSTICE: OPTION FOR THE POOR." It was well-attended and timely in that we were already focused on helping hurricane Katrina victims. There were three sessions - Local, National, and Global. The meal started out with three groups- those that ate a full meal, those that got bread and water, and those that got nothing to eat or drink at all. After reading about world hunger statistics and viewing a slide presentation on some of the world's poorest people, everyone did indeed get a full meal. Groups shared Bible Scripture which instructs us to feed the hungry, care for the needy and love one another. The theme song was "We Are the Light of the World." The session ended with an inspiring instruction by Father Dunphy.
