Pi Youth Retreat - Save the Date!
Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students - mark your calendars now for
our next Pi retreat on Saturday, May 17. Our theme will be based on the
movie Prince Caspian from the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Watch
the bulletin for further details.
Pi Youth Group Service Projects
Pi has several service projects in the works. One project is “Shoes for
Soles” which will be kicked off in May at Buckeye Schools. All students
are required by the school to have a pair of tennis shoes that are used
only for gym. We are asking students who have outgrown these shoes to
donate them to “Shoes for Soles” (with parental permission) and they
will be distributed this fall to students that cannot afford new shoes
through Medina’s Community Services Center. Our summer service project
will be a monthly May to August visit to help with St. Coleman’s meals
for the homeless. The first date will be Saturday, May 24. We will meet
in St. Martin’s parking lot at 1:30 p.m. and return by 6:00 p.m. Our
duties will vary by need but include restocking the pantry, set up the
dining room, serve food, and clean up. Watch for more details and sign
up for retreat and service projects.
