First Communion 2010 - 2011 Calendar

This is such an exciting year for your family. Listed below are the preparation dates for each Sacrament. We prepare with your child & at least one parent in attendance (both are preferable if possible). Grand Parents are welcome when parents are not available. We are looking forward to a great year of sharing faith.

Siblings are welcome if not a distraction for the first communicant. We often have an older sibling that will volunteer to baby sit younger siblings.
 

SACRAMENTAL FAMILY PICNIC
This is the first sacrament class

Sunday, August 29 11:30 AM – 1:30PM Parish Center
This is a family event. The whole family is invited. Guest speaker is Jim Hogan from St. Ignatius High School. Lunch will be served. Activities for younger children. Older youth are needed to help with the children’s activities.

RECONCILIATION
Sunday, September 26 1-3 PM (Child & Parents) Parish Center (PC)
Sunday, October 24 1-3 PM (Child & Parents) PC

1st RECONCILIATION SATURDAY, November 13 1:00 - 2:30 PM Chapel


1ST COMMUNION

Sunday, January 23 (Narrated Mass) 1-3 PM (Child & Parents) Church
This Mass will fulfill your Sunday obligation. Parents will go through Church Search after Mass

Sunday February 27 1-3 PM (Child & Parent Session) PC
Sunday March 20 1-3 PM (Child & Parent Session) PC

Saturday, April 30 JESUS DAY RETREAT 9:00 AM – Noon Ed. Bldg.
Children Only

1st Communion Practice Friday, May 6 6:30 – 8:00 PM Church

1ST COMMUNION SATURDAY, MAY 7 11:00 AM MASS
(Reception in PC following Mass)

All of the dates listed above are part of St. Martin’s Sacramental Program. If you would like your child to receive the Sacraments with their class, attendance is required.
